Vic Marks Charity over which raised £260 for the Chesil Bank Toddlers Group who plan to buy play equipment. Thanks to our kind sponsor – Boisse Windows and Vic Marks for bowling the over, securing 2 wickets and very few runs – costing Paul Swaffield £160!
19th August 2005: Official opening of the new Tea Pavilion,
which looks remarkably like a cricket pavilion(!) This will be done by Vic
Marks, the former Somerset & England player who now writes for the
Observer & commentates on the radio.
Vic marks played for Somerset for several years, was an all rounder,
mainly noted for his off spin bowling. He played for England in one
day matches 34 times and also in 5 Tests. He was at Somerset during
the golden age of Ian Botham, Viv Richards, Joel Garner and his fellow
school mate Jeremy Lloyds (now a Test Umpire).
Your Maze host, Paul Swaffield once partnered Vic in a 100 run partnership – Paul scored 18 of this 100!
There are various events planned (and unplanned!) through the season. Keep checking back to see what is on offer...
Last year’s main attraction was the opening of the poshest toilets in Maize Maze country – 13 berth, lucky for some!!

It is the policy of the Great Dorset Maize Maze to source as many items as it can from Dorset businesses:
